Peter Würfel receives Becquerel Prize

Peter Würfel is awarded the Becquerel Prize 2018. With this prize, the European Commission honors his fun- damental contributions to the theory of photovoltaic energy conversion. Peter Würfel is considered one of the pioneers of comprehensive photovoltaics research at KIT.

Micro-lasers with wide tunability

Researchers at KIT success- fully realized a laser source with a few micrometer in dimension, which is tunable over a wide spectral range. This was achieved using micro resonators on flexible substrates.

Why Perovskite Solar Cells Are So Efficient

KIT researchers gain new insight into optoelectronic properties of perovskite solar cells. Transitions of excitonic nature were investigated using temperature dependent optical spectroscopy.
